Event Details
The Harlem Huskie Hustle takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Harlem High School Stadium in Machesney Park, Illinois. Pets are not allowed on the school grounds or in the stadium.
Distances
The event includes three activities:
- 5K Walk/Run
- 1 Mile Walk/Run
- Kids Fun Run (with age groups: 4 and under, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12)
Registration and Fees
The early bird rate for the 5K is $20.00 until April 30, after which the price increases to $25.00. Registration for the 1 Mile event costs $15. The Kids Fun Run is free to enter.
A race shirt is included in the registration fee for the 5K and 1 Mile events for those who register by April 30. Shirts for the Kids Fun Run are not included but can be purchased separately for $10 each in youth sizes, with orders accepted through April 30.
Awards and Recognition
All registered participants receive a finisher medal. For the 5K, trophies are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, and medals are given to the top three finishers in each age and gender category. Additional trophies are awarded for the Most Student Participation and Most Staff Participation.
Course and Logistics
The 5K course starts and finishes on the track at the 50-yard line. Participants exit the stadium onto a marked path leading to the Willow Creek path, with a turnaround point before Forest Hills Road, and return to the stadium to finish. Walkers are asked to keep to the sides of the path to allow runners to pass in the middle.
