Happy Chinese New Year Run
This event is a self-support "fat ass" trail run near San Diego, held on February 20, 2027. It is a single loop of about 51 miles with roughly 5,000 feet of elevation gain and loss, run mostly on trails. The event has no fees, no awards, no organized aid, and no course markings. Participants must navigate the route and carry or arrange everything they need.
Start and finish are at Canyonside Park Driveway, San Diego, CA 92126. Registration closes on Wed, Feb 10 at 11:59 PM PT. The organizer provides a Garmin course map and a GPX file for the route; use of navigation tools and route files is recommended.
The organizer lists several public refill and resupply points with mile estimates for a counter-clockwise route: Old Pomerado Rd / Bette Brendixen Park (water fountain, mile 5.7), Garden Rd Neighborhood Park (water fountain and restroom, mile 11.5), Chevron and Shell gas stations at 215 Via Rancho Pkwy (open 24 hours, mile 24.8), Lake Hodges Visitor Center (food store, mile 28.4), and Paradise Produce Market (mile 35, about 0.1 mile off course).
