Hanson Hills Challenge Trail Run
The Hanson Hills Challenge Trail Run takes place in Grayling, Michigan, at the Hanson Hills Recreation Area. This event utilizes a trail system consisting primarily of two-track trails. Participants can choose between two distinct routes based on the terrain and distance.
The event offers the following distances:
- 3 Mile-ish Trail Run: A relatively flat route with one uphill climb located just after the one-mile marker.
- 5 Mile Trail Run: A terrain-intensive route characterized by a hilly course profile.
Registration is available both online in advance and on the day of the event. Participants receive custom socks while supplies last. The two courses have different participation requirements based on the nature of the terrain. The shorter distance allows for walkers, whereas the longer distance is restricted to runners only due to the hilly nature of the course.
