Handcart Days Races
Located in Bountiful, Utah, the Handcart Days Races offer multiple distances through the streets of Davis County. The event features a variety of course options designed for different preferences:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- 1K
The Half Marathon route is mostly flat with a total elevation gain of 187 feet. It follows the Legacy trail for approximately five miles and passes through the city streets of Farmington, Centerville, and Bountiful. Participants have access to water stations, porta-potties, and first aid along the course.
The Frontier 5K follows a flat course consisting of right-hand turns. An aid station providing water and electrolyte drinks is positioned at the midpoint transitions. Roads remain open to traffic during the event. For the youngest participants, the Pioneer Pete 1K takes place on the sidewalks and parking lot area around the local recreation facility.
All participants receive a race shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. Post-race amenities include snacks, drinks, and sponsor samples. Awards are presented in various age categories, including youth divisions and weight-based classifications. The event allows strollers and leashed dogs, provided they start at the back of the group.
