Hamtramck Health Hike 5K
The Hamtramck Health Hike is a free community run/walk over 5 km. This is the 17th annual edition of the event, organized by the Hamtramck Drug Free Community Coalition (HDFCC).
The course starts and finishes at Zussman Park, located in front of Hamtramck City Hall at 3401 Evaline Street. It travels through the city streets of Hamtramck. The run offers official timing. Participants can look up their results online using their bib number and compare times by age group.
The event is described as family-friendly. The first 400 people who register and attend will receive free giveaways. After the event, there will be activities in the park and information about healthy, drug-free lifestyles. HDFCC was founded by the Piast Institute in 2007 to address substance abuse among youth in the community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
