Hamburg Hustle

Hamburg Hustle is a trail race on September 12, 2026, held at Hamburg State Park in Warthen, GA. The event is a 5K course that begins in front of the park historic grist mill and museum.

Racers leave the mill area onto a nature trail, then follow lakeside sections of the park red and white trails with views of the lake and campground. An aid station is located at the halfway point. From there the course loops back toward the park office along trails described as muscadine laced.

Race day amenities include coffee, snacks, and fruit at the starting area, with additional water and snacks available at the halfway aid station. Organizers state that registrants who sign up before September 1 are guaranteed a commemorative shirt. The listed entry fee is USD 33.50.

All registration proceeds go to the volunteer group Friends of Hamburg State Park. Parking for the event requires a valid Georgia State Park pass displayed on each vehicle; passes will be available for purchase at the event parking area. There are no age group divisions. The course is entirely on trail with no paved sections, and participants should watch for roots, rocks, and wildlife.
