Hamburg Hustle
Hamburg Hustle is a trail race held at Hamburg State Park in Warthen, GA on September 12, 2026. The event is the first annual running of this race and features a 5K course that begins in front of the park's historic grist mill and museum.
The course departs along a nature trail and follows lakeside sections of the red and white trails, offering views of the lake and campground. An aid station is located at the halfway point; the return leg proceeds toward the park office along trails lined with muscadine vines. The route is entirely on trails with no paved sections and may include roots, rocks, and wildlife. The organiser notes there are no age groups and describes the event as a flat out race.
Race day amenities at the start area include coffee, snacks, and fruit. Additional water and snacks are available at the midcourse aid station. Each vehicle parked for the race must display a valid Georgia State Park pass or acquire a pass at the event parking area. Race registration closes on September 1, 2026; registrations completed before that date are guaranteed a commemorative shirt.
