Hallora Marathon Festival
The Hallora Marathon Festival is a regional running event centred on Warragul and Drouin that combines community engagement with fundraising for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The festival offers multiple distance events and an event hub with community activities.
Distances offered include:
- 42 km
- 24 km
- 16 km
- 8 km
- 5 km
- Kids Dash (approx 300 m)
The 42 km and 24 km events are run only. The shorter distances permit walking or cycling; cycling is scheduled on a separate day. The 24 km and 42 km events start at Hallora Recreation Reserve. The 16 km, 8 km, 5 km and Kids Dash start at Western Park in Warragul. All events finish at Western Park.
The event hub at Western Park features music, MCs, merchandise, food and drinks, and a community BBQ fundraiser run by The Pharaoh’s Angels. The festival emphasises local support; the organisers acknowledge backing from the Baw Baw Shire Council, sponsors and local businesses.
