Event
The New Year race takes place on January 10, 2026, at Vietnam Veterans Park in Concord, North Carolina (760 Orphanage Rd, Concord, NC 28027). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The event is organized by US Road Running.
Course and logistics
All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration and the entry price increases on the Monday before the race. The course is based at the Dogwood Shelter. When entering the park, bathrooms are located in the right corner of the parking lot.
The courses are out-and-back routes. The 5K follows the out-and-back once and the 10K follows it twice. The Half Marathon follows an out-and-back and repeats it four times. The surface is primarily paved with a stretch of gravel and dirt, and the route is described as shaded. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
