About the race
The Growing Minds Foundation Fall Festival 5K is the fifth annual community walk and run held on October 3, 2026, in Pocahontas, Arkansas. The event begins and ends at Black River Overlook Park, located across the highway from First Horizon Bank in Pocahontas.
The Growing Minds Foundation is a nonprofit that provides medical scholarships to children with disabilities and complex medical needs in Northeastern Arkansas.
Event formats include in person and virtual options:
- 5K in person walk and run
- Virtual participation with a finisher medal
Each participant receives a medal. T shirts are provided to participants who register by the posted deadline. Race day swag is included, and additional medals will be awarded to overall winners and age group winners. There is no day of registration.
The Fall Festival that follows the race features a kids fun run, bounce houses, appearances by Disney inspired characters, food trucks, live music, touch a truck, craft vendors, and sensory friendly activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
