Groundhog 7-miler/5-miler : Zionsville, IN
The Groundhog 7-miler/5-miler is scheduled for Sunday, February 1, 2026, and is hosted by Indy Runners in Zionsville, Indiana. The event is based at Zionsville High School on Mulberry Street, Zionsville, IN 46077. There are three event options, each offered by donation:
- 5-mile (by donation)
- 7-mile (by donation)
- Virtual Groundhog (by donation)

Course, logistics and charity
The course uses the Rail Trail with an extension farther to the north for the 7-mile option. The published 5-mile route is about 0.2 miles long of extra distance. Runners attempting the 7-mile option are asked to maintain at least a 14:00 per mile pace; a course sentry at Mulberry Street (mile 4.5) will divert participants who do not meet that pace onto the 5-mile route back to the high school. The event names the Zionsville Food Pantry as its beneficiary; previous fundraising exceeded $4,000. Organizers plan to collect mostly monetary donations and will accept canned food items on site.
