RGV Great Strides 2026
RGV Great Strides 2026 is a fundraising walk and 5K organized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation South Texas - San Antonio Chapter. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Westside Park, 1000 S. Ware Rd., McAllen, TX 78501.

The 5K run has a registration fee of $35; the walk is free. 5K registration includes a race shirt, a custom finisher medal, an official race bib, chip timing, and age group awards. Music and a family friendly atmosphere are part of the event presentation.
Packet pick-up is set for Saturday, November 13 at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel McAllen, 1800 S 2nd St., McAllen, TX 78503, and again on race day at Westside Park. Finisher medals are distributed at the finish line and will not be mailed. Registration fees are non-refundable, including if a registrant is unable to attend or if the event is canceled due to circumstances beyond the organizers control.
The event raises funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to support research and care. Fundraising tools and team options are available through the foundation’s participant resources, and local volunteering is coordinated by the chapter.
