The Great Appalachian Valley Race is scheduled for July 18, 2026 in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania at 304 Britton Rd. The event offers the following distances:

Entry fees listed on the event page include a base price of $80 for the half, $40 for the 10K, $40 for the 5K, and $65 for the combo entry. Course and logistics

The course begins at Shippensburg Township Park and follows the rail trail in an out-and-back layout that is described as flat and fast through scenic countryside. Aid stations provide water and Gatorade every 2 miles, and participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration and fuel. Post-race food and drink will be available. Personalized bibs are provided for entries completed about three weeks before the race. There will not be a formal awards ceremony; awards may be picked up after finishing. Awards include top overall places for male, female and non-binary categories and top three in standard age groups ranging from 15 & under to 80+. An early start option is available for the half with no awards and is intended for slower paces; participants using it may not receive an official time if they finish the half faster than 2:15.
