Great Appalachian Valley Race: Half Marathon, 10K and 5K
The event takes place in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania at 304 Britton Rd on July 17, 2027. It offers multiple running options and family-friendly participation across the same venue.
Distances available:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles) : entry fee $80
- 10K (6.2 miles) : entry fee $40
- 5K (3.1 miles) : entry fee $40
- Combo 5K and 10K : entry fee $65
All races have a four hour time limit. An early start option is available only for the half marathon; there are no early starts for the 5K or 10K. Early starters in the half should target a pace of about 15 minutes per mile or slower; participants who run faster than 2:15 for the half may not receive an official time. Early starts do not receive awards.
Registration fees include event swag such as a finisher medal and running socks; many entries also include a t-shirt. First time half marathon finishers receive a commemorative plaque in addition to the finisher medal. The event includes post-race food and drink. A 10 percent discount on race entry is offered for service members and their families. The event provides non-binary registration with corresponding overall and age-group awards.
