The Great American Pumpkin Race is set for Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Red Tail Pavilion, 2801 E. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, TX 75074. The organizer presents this as the first annual running of the event. Offered race distances and options include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 1 Mile
- Kid's Dash
- Virtual Option
The 5K and 10K use a mapped course; the 10K is shown as two laps of the same route. The Kid's Dash is a short 100–200 meter sprint held before the main events. The 1 Mile option is an untimed event with no age group awards. The virtual option includes shipping of the event shirt and medal to registrants the week of the race.
Entry, awards and other information
Published entry fees are: Kid's Dash free, 1 Mile $18, 5K $35, 10K $42, and Virtual $40. Some in-person event fees increase after April 30, 2026; virtual and kid entries have registration deadlines on November 1, 2026. Registration for 5K, 10K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal; registrants are advised to register early to guarantee shirt size.
Age group awards for the 5K and 10K are awarded four deep in male and female divisions across standard age brackets from 0-4 through 80+. Additional awards cover male and female overall winners, masters (40+) and grand masters (60+). Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped. Volunteer roles are offered with a code provided as a thank you. The organizer supports Encounter Church (Fate) with a portion of proceeds and donations.
