GrandMan: Return of the Grand
GrandMan in Fairhope, Alabama is staged on the Mobile Bay waterfront on June 20, 2026. The 2026 event is an aquathlon edition of the traditional GrandMan series and includes several race categories for swimmers and runners.
The swim starts from the municipal pier with participants entering the water and completing a traditional 600 yards course that finishes on the sandy beach at the south end. Competitors transition in the city's renovated park before beginning the run. The run covers about 4 miles and follows a route through the park, up the hill from the pier to the bluff, through a downtown neighborhood, and returns down the hill along the bayfront.
Event categories and fees are listed for individual, Athena/Clydesdale, para, relay, swim-only, run, and walk entries. After the event there is an organized after-party featuring food and drinks from local establishments, including beignets, burgers, and brews.
