Grand River Haunted Wine Run 5k
The event is a chip timed 5k run/walk held at Grand River Cellars in Madison, Ohio on October 11, 2026. Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib, results posted online, and a pour of wine at the finish.
The course is mostly a cross country style route that runs through vineyard areas and has sections of uneven footing. The route is offered as two laps; participants may stop after the first lap if they prefer. The course is described as not ideal for setting a personal best 5k time and is suitable for both runners and walkers.
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each 10-year category, with categories from 19 and under through 80 and over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for those awards. Results are posted online and age group awards must be picked up the day of the event.
The charity partner is the Northeast Ohio Autism Group, a local 501(c)(3) that supports autism programs and services in the region. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that does not include the wine glass or wine. Dogs are not allowed on site and strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground.
