Events and course
The Grand Ledge Education Foundation Comet Chase is a community running event in Grand Ledge, Michigan. All events start and finish at the Grand Ledge High School Track & Field Facility, 1211 Lohne Dr., Grand Ledge, MI 48837. Kids races take place on the track. The 5K begins on the track, follows a well marked route through city streets, and finishes back on the track.

Logistics, awards and beneficiaries
Packet pickup is available at the Sawdon Administration Building (220 Lamson Street) and on race morning at the high school facility. Race day parking is at the high school track facility; parking at the track will be limited for event workers. The race timing is provided by the Michigan Running Foundation and results are posted live.
Proceeds benefit the Grand Ledge Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting classroom projects in Grand Ledge Public Schools. Awards include top-3 male and female 5K finishers in each division, and awards for the top 10 finishers in the 1 mile youth race. 5K and virtual participants receive finisher medals; youth and kids events include giveaways and participant shirts. Age divisions for the 5K include 10 and under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, then five-year bands up to 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
