Goyt Valley Wild Trail Runs
Wild Deer Events stages the Goyt Valley Wild Trail Runs on 31 October 2026 at Goyt Valley, The Street car park, Fernilee SK11 0AR. The event takes place in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty northwest of Buxton, Derbyshire.
The event offers two waymarked routes:
- 7 km route
- 11 km route
Both routes pass views across Fernilee and Errwood Reservoirs and move through heather moorland, mature woodlands and areas with historical ruins such as 19th Century Errwood Hall. The terrain provides typical trail running and hiking surfaces found in the Peak District.
The event is canicross friendly: one well-controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. Finish-line items include an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a drink and snack. A bespoke event T-shirt is available as an optional purchase for £14.
