Event
The Gorges Ithaca Half is a point-to-point half marathon held on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The race starts in Trumansburg and finishes in Cass Park at the base of Cayuga Lake in Ithaca. Entrants receive an event tech shirt (guaranteed for those registering before May 1), a finisher medal, a Specialized Purist sport bottle, and post-race to-go food from Fittnell Farms. There is no race-day registration. The event has a no-refund policy; entries may be rolled over into 2026 if notice is provided on or before May 7.
Course and logistics
The course leaves Trumansburg, passes the upper tip of Taughannock Falls State Park, uses the Black Diamond Rail Trail for a steady descent on hard-packed gravel, and finishes along the Cayuga Lake inlet in Cass Park. Aid stations are located at approximate mileages 2.3, 4, 6.1, 8.7, 10.7, and 12.4. Each aid station will provide water and a sport drink; some later stations may offer fruit. Portajohns are available at the start, the finish, and near aid stations at about miles 4.2, 6.1, and 8.7.
Charles O. Dickerson High School is used for start-area parking, check-in, and gear check; finish-area parking is organized in assigned lots around Cass Park and Alan Treman Marine Park. Shuttle buses run between the finish area and the start for participants who select bus service. Live runner tracking via the RaceJoy app and race photography will be available.
