About the race
Gorbeia Suzien 21K is a mountain trail event held in Zeanuri, Bizkaia, Spain on 26 September 2026. The event includes two race options:
- Skyrace : 32 km with about 2400 m positive ascent
- 21K : around 21–22 km with roughly 1200–1300 m positive ascent
The 21K is a puntuable race for the Skyrunner World Series U23. Participation is open to athletes aged 15 and over, with absolute male and female categories. The organisation reserves bibs for local residents, sub23s from the Arratia valley and elite runners; the remaining places are allocated by preinscription and a subsequent lottery. Admitted runners confirm their place with a payment of 50 euros.
The route is signposted with indicator signs and tapes and includes kilometre references every 5 km. The 21K course has seven intermediate control points and seven solid and liquid aid stations plus the finish aid point. Mandatory material includes a windproof jacket and a thermal blanket, and runners must carry their own cup for aid stations. Medical assistance is deployed at strategic points on the route. The organisation may use alternative routes or suspend the race for safety or force majeure. The top three finishers in each category receive local product baskets.
