Goodwill 5K Run & 2-Mile Walk

The Goodwill 5K Run and 2-Mile Walk takes place in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 6, 2027. The event marks Goodwill's 40th year and adopts an 1980s theme for the 2027 edition. It is a fundraising event that attracts more than 900 participants and raises revenue to support Goodwill’s free employment and training programs for South Texans with disabilities or other barriers to employment.

The event offers two course options:

5 km run
2 mile walk

Participants receive a commemorative race t-shirt and a swag bag. The first 250 registrants are listed to receive an 80s slap bracelet and a sweatband. Race entry for the live event is listed as $30. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at La Palmera Mall in the parking lot behind Dillard’s and is operated as a drive-through to distribute bibs, shirts, and programs.

Awards for the 5K include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for individual male and female finishers plus age-group awards spanning divisions from 7 and under through 60 and older. The 2-Mile Walk presents trophies for top male, top male masters, top female, and top female masters. A new 80s costume contest in 2027 will recognize group, adult, student, and up-cycled Goodwill costumes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
