Event overview
The GOODWILL 5K RUN & 2-Mile WALK takes place in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 7, 2026. The event is held at Whataburger Field and uses an in/out course along Corpus Christi's bayfront. The organizer reports more than 600 participants and notes the event has run for 39 years. Revenue supports Goodwill’s free employment and training programs for South Texans with disabilities or other barriers to employment.

Entry, packet pickup and awards
Live registration for the event is listed at $30. Online registration closes at 8 a.m. on March 7, 2026; in-person registration is available during packet pickup and on race day. Participants receive a commemorative race t-shirt and a swag bag; registering early is recommended to guarantee shirt size.
Packet pickup is at La Palmera Mall (parking lot behind Dillard’s) and is conducted as a drive-through to distribute race bibs, t-shirts, programs, and other materials.
Awards for the 5K run include 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for individual male and female finishers and age-group awards from 7 and under through 60+. The 2-mile walk awards trophies for top female, top female masters, top male, and top male masters. A costume contest in 2026 includes categories for best group/club, best individual adult, and best individual student.
