GOODWILL 5K RUN & 2-Mile WALK
The Goodwill Run is a fundraising event held in Corpus Christi at Whataburger Field. The 2027 edition marks the 40th anniversary of the event and features an 80s theme and an 80s costume contest with multiple prize categories.
The event raises money for Goodwill South Texas to fund free employment and training programs for people with disabilities or other barriers to employment. The course is an in/out route along Corpus Christi’s bayfront and offers two main distances.

- 2 mile walk
Participants receive a commemorative race t-shirt and a swag bag. The first 250 registrants also receive an 80s slap bracelet and a sweatband. Live event entry is listed at $30 and online registration has a closing date in early March. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at La Palmera Mall, parking lot behind Dillard’s.
Awards at the live event include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for the 5K, age-group awards across multiple male and female divisions, trophies for the 2 mile walk, and overall and masters recognitions. Student entry options are available and may be fulfilled by donating four bags or medium boxes of gently used clothes or housewares at packet pickup.
