Event Overview
The Gone Nuts Adventure Run is a multi-distance trail running event in Tasmania. The finish line for all distances is at the Wynyard Yacht Club facility on the Inglis River. The 2026 edition is noted as the 10th Anniversary Edition.
Distances and Start Points
The event offers four course distances with staggered start times and locations:
- 101 km: Starts at Kings Beach in Stanley.
- 75 km: Starts at Mawbanna.
- 50 km: Starts at Rocky Cape.
- 25 km: Starts at Boat Harbour.
Course and Support
The course traverses a variety of terrain including single-track trails, beaches, gravel roads, rocky headlands, and private farmland. It includes an ascent around the Stanley Nut. Checkpoints and transition areas provide food and drink, including water, fruit, snacks, and at some locations, sandwiches, cold roast potatoes, and hot drinks. A bag drop service is available for personal supplies to be transported to specific transition points and back to the finish.
Logistics and Services
Transport by bus is available from the Wynyard Yacht Club to each race start on the morning of the event. Competitor bib collection is available prior to the event and on race morning at the start lines. An electronic competitor briefing will be published online. The event provides live competitor tracking for participants in the 101 km, 75 km, and team events.
