About the race
The Goldfields Pipeline Marathon is a multi-distance road and off-road running event held in the Kalgoorlie Boulder region. The program for 18 July 2027 includes several race distances that all finish at the same venue.
The event offers these distances:
- 50 km KCD Ultra marathon
- 42 km Kalgoorlie Chiropractic marathon
- 21.1 km Australian Surface Drilling half marathon
- 10 km Retravision fun run or walk
The first edition took place in 2013 as a small event to test the course. In 2014 the finish line moved to the Kalgoorlie Boulder Golf Course, allowing the event to be completed off road. In 2020 a 50 km ultramarathon was added and the finish location was moved to the Ray Finlayson Sporting Complex. Start locations and start times vary between the races, but all distances share the same finish location.
Entries for the 2027 edition open on 26 January. The event is presented as a recurring fixture on the Western Australian running calendar and lists supporting local partners and community venues in association with its staging. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
