God's Country Marathon 2026
The God's Country Marathon takes place in Potter County, Pennsylvania, offering a point-to-point road racing experience through rural landscapes. The event has been held for over 50 years and features a point-to-point course that follows scenic U.S. Route 6.
Participants can choose from several distance options:

The Full Marathon starts at Galeton High School at an elevation of 1,300 feet. The route travels west through the Susquehannock State Forest toward Coudersport. At mile 14, runners begin a three-mile ascent up Denton Hill. This section traverses the eastern continental divide and reaches a peak elevation of 2,424 feet before descending into downtown Coudersport, which sits at an elevation of 1,400 feet.
The Half Marathon begins at Denton Hill State Park. The event is organized by the Potter County Education Council and provides individual age group or open registration options. The finish line for the races is located in historic downtown Coudersport at the Potter County Education Council building on Water Street.
