The course is point-to-point, running west on U.S. Route 6 from Galeton to Coudersport, passing through the Susquehannock State Forest. Reported elevations show Galeton at about 1,300 ft and Coudersport at about 1,400 ft. Around mile 14 the route begins a three-mile climb up Denton Hill to about 2,424 ft, then descends into downtown Coudersport.
