Goblin Valley Trail Runs
The Goblin Valley Trail Runs take place in Green River, Utah, within a landscape characterized by thousands of mushroom-shaped rock pinnacles known as hoodoos or "goblins." This event utilizes single track trails that navigate through a protected desert environment.
Participants can choose from a range of trail running and cycling distances:
- 50K Ultra: Uses new trails and offers views of the ancient rock formations.
- Trail Marathon: Features a course providing a 360-degree look at the hoodoo wonders.
- Trail Half Marathon: Utilizes the park trail systems on a flowing single track loop.
- 10k: Follows a lollipop-shaped course on the Lizard Foot and Buffalo Head Trail systems.
- 5k: Consists of an out and back route through the desert landscape.
- Elevated Youth 1M: A fun run designed for younger participants.
- Gravel Ride: Cycling events at distances of 70 miles, 46 miles, and 38 miles.
The 10k and 5k events include specific categories for participants under the age of 19. The 1-mile youth run includes a custom medal and a gift for finishers. Registration for the various events typically closes between June and November, depending on the specific distance selected. The event is located at Goblin Valley Road in Green River.
