Goblin Valley Trail Runs
Goblin Valley Trail Runs takes place near Green River, Utah, in a landscape of thousands of hoodoos referred to as goblins. The terrain includes single track trails through a protected park setting and mushroom shaped rock pinnacles visible from many parts of the course.
Races are offered over multiple distances and formats. The program includes a new 50K Ultra on newly built trails, a marathon that provides extensive views of the hoodoos, and a half marathon that uses the park trail systems with flowing single track. Shorter trail options include a lollipop shaped 10k on Lizard Foot and Buffalo Head trails and a 5k out and back that enters a small grove.
Youth and bike options are part of the weekend. A one mile kids fun run awards a custom medal and a special gift to participants. Gravel rides are scheduled on the following day with longer distances on varied routes.
Event features described by the organizer emphasize single track routing, loop and out and back formats, and panoramic views of the rock formations around the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
