Goat Gallop 5K - Brady, TX - September 5, 2026
The Goat Gallop is a 5K run that opens the 52nd Annual World Championship BBQ Goat Cookoff. The event takes place at Brady Bulldog Stadium, 1000 Wall St, Brady, TX, with the course starting and finishing at the same location. It is scheduled for September 5, 2026.
Registration for the race opens June 15, 2026. Race fees through the event date are listed as Adult $25.00 and Students $15.00. Race t-shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed to racers who register by September 4, 2026.
Award categories are organized by age division for male and female participants: 13 and under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. All 5K finishers receive medals. Additional medals will be awarded to the top male and female overall and the top junior male and female.
A virtual option called Sleep In Supporter is available; its registration opens June 15 and runs through September 4, 2026, with a fee of $20.00. Virtual registrants receive a t-shirt but will not be assigned a bib or be eligible for awards. Shirts may be picked up at the Brady Chamber by September 3, 2026 or on the day of the event.
Early packet pick-up is scheduled for September 3, 2026 at the Brady Chamber (106 W Main). Walk-up registration and packet pick-up are available on the morning of the event at Bulldog Stadium/Brady ISD Admin Office.
The event day includes shopping vendors, music in the park, food vendors, kids activities, goat roping, a Goat Meal available for purchase, and a Saturday night concert. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
