Glow the Distance 5K/10K : Joplin, MO
Glow the Distance takes place in Joplin, Missouri at 932 E North St on October 3, 2026. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options with chip timing for the in-person races and luminary lighting along the course.

- 5K in-person and virtual
- 10K in-person and virtual
In-person participants receive a super soft race shirt and glow bracelets. Age category awards are given for the in-person races; recipients must be present to receive awards because they will not be mailed. Registration for the in-person races opens May 21, 2026 and closes June 12, 2026. Fees are $35 for the 5K and $40 for the 10K. Race shirts are guaranteed for those registered by September 20, 2026.
Virtual participants can complete their chosen distance on any course, including a treadmill, at any time during October. Virtual registrants register starting May 21, 2026 with virtual registration closing September 30, 2026. Virtual runners are not eligible for overall or age category awards. Virtual participants are asked to post results on the Facebook event page or on the RunSignup race page under Results; race shirts and a custom medal will be mailed the week after the event for virtual entries.
