Gloucester TWP Scholarship Run
The 29th Annual Gloucester Township Scholarship Run and One Mile Walk takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Gloucester Township Municipal Complex in Blackwood, New Jersey. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- One Mile Walk/Run
Proceeds from the event fund college scholarships for high school students who reside in Gloucester Township. Registration for 2026 opens in late fall 2025. Fees listed by the organizer are $25 for the 5K Run/Walk and $10 for the One Mile Walk, with a higher fee for late registration on race day. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable, and the event is held rain or shine. Race shirts are guaranteed for the first 100 registered participants.
Course details note the 5K starts about 200 yards from the Senior Center on Chews Landing Road and loops through police patrolled streets, finishing in the municipal complex parking lot. The One Mile Walk consists of two loops around the Veterans Park track with two small loops inside those loops. Chip timing is provided by Linmark Sports, which posts results immediately as participants finish and online later the same day. The event includes awards for overall placings and age groups, and it is children and stroller friendly; parents pushing strollers are asked to start toward the back.
