Glacier Half Marathon : Browning / East Glacier Village, MT (June 27, 2026)
The Glacier Half Marathon is a point to point half marathon held along the eastern border of Glacier National Park between an area east of Kiowa, MT and the front lawn of Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier Village. The paved course includes a couple short grass sections. At Kiowa the road climbs nearly 900 ft and the first five mile stretch begins above 5,000 ft; miles 5 to 10 run predominantly downhill past views of Lower Two Medicine Lake. The final section includes a series of hill climbs and drops before the finish on the Glacier Park Lodge lawn.
The event is rated 4 out of 5 for difficulty and has a four hour time limit. There are five aid stations (medic at mile 9) with toilets, water, Gnarly Hydrate, Honey Stinger gels and some fruit; the event is cup free so runners must carry a reusable cup, bottle, or hydration pack. Expo and bib pickup occur the day before at Red Eagle Campground north of East Glacier Park Village. Race morning parking and shuttle service operate from Charging Home Stampede Park in Browning; there is no parking at the start or finish. The Vacation Races campground is primitive and located at Red Eagle Campground near Lower Two Medicine Lake. A portion of registration fees supports the Blackfeet Tribe.
