Event overview
The Glacier Half Marathon is scheduled for June 27, 2026 in Browning and East Glacier Village, Montana. The event distance is a half marathon. Registration includes a bib fee of $185 and a portion of the registration fee supports the Blackfeet Tribe. Expo and bib pickup are held the day before the race at Red Eagle Campground. Primitive campground space is available at Red Eagle Campground near Lower Two Medicine Lake. The event follows a cup-free policy on course and at the finish; participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or hydration device.
Course and logistics
The course is point-to-point along the eastern border of Glacier National Park and starts about 1.3 miles east of Kiowa on Highway 89. Runners climb for the first 5 miles, beginning above 5,000 ft, descend from mile 5 to mile 10 with views of Lower Two Medicine Lake, and finish on the front lawn of Glacier Park Lodge. The route is mostly on pavement with a few short grass sections.
There are five aid stations on course, with medical support noted at the Mile 9 station. Race-day parking and shuttles operate from Charging Home Stampede Park in Browning; there is no parking at the start or finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
