Glacier Half Marathon : East Glacier, MT
The Glacier Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile point-to-point road race held on June 27, 2026, along the eastern border of Glacier National Park. The course is mostly on paved roads with a few short grass sections. Runners face an extended climb in the opening miles, a predominantly downhill middle section from about miles 5 to 10 with views of Lower Two Medicine Lake, and a series of rolling hill climbs and drops approaching the finish on the front lawn of Glacier Park Lodge.
The event includes five aid stations and a four hour course time limit. The race is cup free: aid stations and the finish provide drinks but no disposable cups, so runners should arrive with a reusable bottle, cup, or hydration pack.
Event logistics include an expo and bib pickup at Red Eagle Campground the day before the race, and parking with shuttle service from Charging Home Stampede Park in Browning, Montana. There is no parking or drop off at the start or finish lines; shuttles return runners to the Browning parking lot after the race. Vacation Races operates a primitive campground at Red Eagle Campground with port-a-potties, potable water, tent and RV space, shared fire pits, and quiet hours from 10pm to 6am.
