Glacier Half Marathon : Glacier National Park region
The Glacier Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile point to point road race held on June 26, 2027 along the eastern border of Glacier National Park. The course is mostly paved with a few short grassy sections and includes five aid stations. Runners climb steadily in the first five miles, experience an extended downhill from about miles five to ten with views of Lower Two Medicine Lake, then a final sequence of climbs and drops that ends on the front lawn of Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier Village.
The event uses shuttle service and centralized parking. Parking and race shuttles operate from Charging Home Stampede Park in Browning, Montana; there is no parking or drop off at the start or finish. Expo and bib pickup are held at Red Eagle Campground north of East Glacier Park; bib shipping is available for a fee. The race follows a cup free policy: aid stations provide water and electrolyte drink but no disposable cups, so runners should bring a reusable bottle, cup, or hydration pack.
Support services at the finish include a recovery food box, bananas, chocolate milk, and water refill stations. Race awards include place medals for overall and masters categories and age group place medals, and finisher medals are awarded to all finishers. A Vacation Races campground at Red Eagle is offered as primitive group camping with potable water and port a potties. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
