Glacier Half Marathon : Glacier National Park, MT
The Glacier Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile point to point road race on June 27, 2026 that runs along the eastern border of Glacier National Park. The course is mostly on pavement with a couple short sections on grass. Runners climb for the first five miles, then enjoy several downhill miles before a final sequence of hills that leads to the finish on the front lawn of Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier Village. Two Medicine Lake is visible along the route between miles five and eight.
The event uses a shuttle system. Runner parking and spectator shuttles operate from Charging Home Stampede Park in Browning; there is no parking or drop off at the start or finish. The race course is marked; runners must stay to the left when sharing the road with vehicles.
Support and services include five aid stations, finish-line recovery food boxes, bananas, chocolate milk, and onsite merchandise. Expo and bib pickup are held at Red Eagle Campground the day before the race. Vacation Races provides a campground at Red Eagle near Lower Two Medicine Lake with primitive campsites, potable water, port-a-potties, shared fire pits, and no on-site showers.
The event follows a cup-free, zero waste policy on course; runners should carry a reusable bottle, cup, or hydration pack. Place medals are awarded to top finishers by gender and age group, and all finishers receive a finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
