Spring 5K Celebration
Girls on the Run Utah holds a Spring 5K Celebration on June 5, 2027 at Sugar House Park, Big Field Pavilion, 1330 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City, UT. The event marks the end of the season and gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment; every program participant receives a commemorative medal.
The course is a paved 5K (3.1 miles) that runs two laps around Sugar House Park and is described as accessible for people with disabilities. Participants who register receive a t shirt, race bib, swag bag, and post race snacks. The event also includes family friendly activities such as a hair station, photo booth and face painting. Free parking is available on the south side of Highland High School and limited parking is available on nearby side streets; golf cart shuttles will circulate the park.
Registration is offered in tiers: early bird online registration is listed at $30, general online registration at $35, day of in person registration at $40, and youth registration (12 years and younger) at $15. Online registration closes June 3, 2027. Program participants and coaches are already registered and do not need to register online.
Running Buddies accompany a program participant for the full course. Running Buddies must register online; the listed $35 entry for Running Buddies includes a shirt, race bib, finisher medal and swag bag. Packet pickup for general participants is available at the Girls on the Run Utah office, 332 E 500 S, Salt Lake City, on June 1 and June 2 with posted pickup hours.
