Gibbet Hill Cattle Run 2026
The Gibbet Hill Cattle Run is a multi-event sports gathering held in Groton, Massachusetts. The primary race is a three-person relay covering a total distance of 8.4 miles. In this format, each team member completes two separate 1.4-mile legs. The course takes participants along cattle trails, through ruins, and up Gibbet Hill.
The event features several categories for different age groups:
- 8.4-mile 3-person relay
- Single Loop for ages 12 and under
- Little Lambs Mini Run for ages 6-8
- Little Lambs Mini Run for ages 5 and under
Children participating in the Little Lambs Mini Run navigate an obstacle course set around a retention pond. Participants in the age 12 and under Single Loop complete one full lap of the trail course individually rather than as part of a relay team.
Registration for the relay requires a minimum fundraising amount, which is donated to selected beneficiaries. Relay entry includes a post-race barbecue and a beverage for each runner. Youth registrations for the Single Loop and Mini Run include a t-shirt and barbecue entry. The event also features live music and seasonal beverages at the finish line area. Higher fundraising tiers offer additional rewards, such as tickets to a dinner in November or private dining experiences. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
