About the race
The GFRC Busa Bushwhack Trail Races are held in Framingham, Massachusetts, with the park, start, and finish at Brophy Elementary School, 575 Pleasant Street (Route 30). The races use the natural trails of Callahan State Park, featuring hills, rocks, and roots. Each course includes the first 0.3 mile and the final 0.6 mile on the road, with the finish at Brophy Elementary.
Distances offered:
- 5.3 miles trail race
- 10 miles trail race
The course is well marked and includes mile markers. There is one water stop on the 5.3 mile course and two water stops on the 10 mile course. Indoor pre-race and post-race facilities are available for participant use.
Registration for the event opens on 7/20 and closes on 10/15; the listed early fee is $25 until 10/15. Pets are not allowed on the race course. Headphones and AirPods are discouraged for safety.
A commemorative pair of running gloves is provided to participants. Awards include log trophies for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female finishers, plus 1st place log trophies for male and female winners in age groups 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Overall top finishers do not receive duplicate age group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
