Event Overview
The Get Down to the Loose Caboose is a running event on May 16, 2026, in Paragould, Arkansas. It is a collaboration between the Paragould Chamber Foundation and the Greene County Future Fund, with all proceeds benefiting these entities. The event features four races: a Half Marathon, a 10K, a 5K, and the Fastest Kid in Town Race (a kids fun run).
Course and Locations
The 5K and 10K races take place on the 8 Mile Creek Trail. An expansion of this trail is scheduled to be complete for race day, with new and improved starting points. The Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K all begin at Bland Park. The 5K finishes at Harmon Park, and a shuttle service runs from the 5K finish line back to Bland Park between 9am and 10am. The Fastest Kid in Town Race starts inside the festival grounds near Champions Gymnastics.
Registration Details
Participants who register before May 1, 2026, receive a free Loose Caboose Festival T-shirt. The kids race includes age divisions for participants 14 and under.
