Get Down to the Loose Caboose - Paragould, AR
Get Down to the Loose Caboose is a multi-race event held in Paragould, Arkansas, with distances for adults and children. The event includes a half marathon, a 10K, a 5K, and a one mile kids fun run.

The 10K and 5K courses take place mostly on the 8 Mile Creek Trail. The half marathon begins downtown behind the Greene County Courthouse. The 10K and 5K begin at Rotary Park and finish behind the Greene County Courthouse. A shuttle will be provided to return racers from the finish line back to Rotary Park. The kids race begins inside the festival grounds near Champions Gymnastics.
All registrations completed before May 1 receive a free Loose Caboose Festival T-shirt. The Fastest Kid in Town Race returns in 2027 and is sponsored by PMU. Age divisions for the kids race span from 4 and under up to 11-14 years, with intermediate brackets of 5-6, 7-8, and 9-10 years.
All proceeds from the races benefit the Paragould Chamber Foundation and the Greene County Future Fund. The races are organized as a collaboration between those two entities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
