Generali Genève Marathon
The Generali Genève Marathon returns for its 20th edition, offering a variety of running and walking events in the city of Geneva and its surrounding countryside. Participants can experience a rolling course that provides views of the alpine peaks, Lake Geneva, and the Jet d’Eau.
The main marathon and half-marathon routes start in Cologny and lead runners through the countryside before returning to the city center. The final stretch of these races takes place on the Pont du Mont-Blanc. Shorter distances and walking formats are organized as evening events.
The following race formats are available:
- Marathon: 42.195 km individual race with a 6-hour time limit.
- Relay Marathon: 42.195 km covered by teams of 4 to 6 people.
- Semi-Marathon: 21.097 km course through countryside and lakefront.
- Wheelchair Race: 21.097 km following the same route as the half-marathon.
- 10 KM: Running, walking, and nordic walking categories on a scenic evening course.
- 5 KM: An accessible run along the lake for participants aged 14 and over.
- Junior Races: Distances between 1 km and 3 km for children aged 3 to 13.
The event features specialized finishes, with long-distance races ending at the Pont du Mont-Blanc, while the 5 km, 10 km, and junior races conclude at Quai Gustave-Ador. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
