The Generali Berliner Halbmarathon is one of the largest half marathons in the world, taking place in the heart of the German capital. The event features a variety of sporting disciplines and supporting activities held over a race weekend. The primary course covers the standard half marathon distance of 21.0975 km.
In addition to the main running event, the program includes several other categories and distances:
- Inlineskating half marathon

- Kids and youth races, including Bambini runs and specialized skating events
The course is known for being flat and fast, with the finish line located behind the Brandenburger Tor (Brandenburg Gate). Participants can secure start positions through a lottery system, or by registering via official charity partners, travel operators, or specialized training camps. An accompanying expo for visitors and exhibitors is also part of the event weekend.
