Gateway Gallop 5K
The Gateway Gallop 5K is a community sports event held at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. This event serves as a fundraiser to support the development and maintenance of trails on the west side of the city. Participants can choose to run, walk, or stroll through the course, which is scheduled to include segments of the B&O Trail.

Registration for the event includes a commemorative shirt and a finisher's medal, though participants have the option to opt out of the shirt for a reduced registration fee. The event features a local tradition where The Breakfast Company provides food for the day. Members of the Wayne Township Fire Department prepare and serve hot pancakes to all participants.
Proceeds from the event are directed toward the B&O Trail Association as well as the White Lick Creek and Vandalia Trail Alliance. These funds help advance regional trail infrastructure and community connectivity. Family pricing options are available for those attending with multiple family members.
