Gates Mills Fox Trot
The Gates Mills Fox Trot is the Second Annual community running event held in Gates Mills, Ohio. It marks the 100th anniversary of Gates Mills Elementary and the 200th anniversary of the Village. The course is a loop through the Chagrin River Valley with views of the river and Western Reserve architecture in early fall.
Events include a youth dash, a 1-mile run, and a 5K on a looped course near 1470 Chagrin River Rd., Gates Mills. Distances offered:
- 50 yard Foxtrot Kids dash
- 1 mile The 1826
- 3.1 miles 5K
Registration fees are listed for each event, with the 5K and 1-mile carrying entry fees and the kids dash offered at no fee. Fees and donations benefit the Gates Mills Parent Teacher Club (PTC). The PTC supports school and community programs such as field trips, scholarships, teacher grants, and other educational enhancements for Gates Mills Elementary School that aim to support students' and teachers' social, emotional, and academic well-being.
