Course and Location
The course is on rolling Forest Service roads. It starts at the Camp Ouachita Girl Scout Camp within the Ouachita National Forest, near Perryville, Arkansas.
Event Details
The Full Moon 25k/50k serves as the kickoff race for the AURA Ultra Trail Series. Event proceeds support several organizations: the Arkansas Crisis Center, the Arkansas Ultra Running Cross Country Fund (which benefits a different high school cross country team each year), Faulkner County HAM, and the Williams Junction Fire Department.
The event atmosphere is described as laid-back. There are fully stocked aid stations and spectators to cheer participants. A post-race meal includes pancakes and bacon.
