The course is set on rolling Forest Service Roads. It starts at Camp Ouachita Girl Scout Camp, which is located within the Ouachita National Forest.

Proceeds from the event benefit several organizations: the Arkansas Crisis Center, the Arkansas Ultra Running Cross Country Fund (which supports a different high school cross country team each year), Faulkner County HAM, and Williams Junction FD.
