Frosty Mountain Ultra race 2026
The Frosty Mountain Ultra takes place on September 12, 2026, at Lightning Lake in Manning Park, Fraser Valley, British Columbia. The event is presented by Trail Whisperer and the routes start and finish at Lightning Lake.
The course reaches the true summit of Frosty Mountain at 2,426 m (7,959 ft) and passes through alpine meadows with 360 degree views. Sections of the course follow the Similkameen Trail and climb partway toward Windy Joe Peak. After Frosty, runners descend through meadows and switchbacks back to Lightning Lake. The longest route continues around Lightning Lake, climbs the Skyline Trail to ridge viewpoints, and returns via Strawberry flats to the finish.
Distances offered
- 13 km around Lightning Lake and along Flash Lake
- 27 km follows Similkameen Trail, climbs toward Windy Joe and reaches Frosty Mountain
- 50 km follows Similkameen Trail to Frosty Mountain and returns via Skyline and Strawberry flats
Pre-race package pickup is scheduled in North Vancouver and at Manning Park Resort. Aid stations and a cut-off point are indicated on the 50 km route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
