Friends of Lums Pond Halfway to Pond Fest 5K
The Friends of Lums Pond Halfway to Pond Fest 5K is a community running event held in Middletown, Delaware. Organized by a 501c3 nonprofit group of volunteers, this race serves as a fundraiser to support Lums Pond State Park. The course takes participants through the town of Middletown, starting and finishing at the Volunteer Brewing Company located at 116 W Main Street. This run is part of the lead-up to the annual Pond Fest fundraiser held later in the year.
Registered participants receive a race t-shirt and post-race snacks. Additionally, runners aged 21 and over receive a beer from Volunteer Brewing Company. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, as well as the overall masters male and female winners, based on gun time. Medals are also awarded to the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from 9 and under to 70 and over, based on chip time.
