Freycinet Challenge 2026 : Course and format
The Freycinet Challenge is a two-day multi-sport event held on the Freycinet Peninsula at Coles Bay, Tasmania on 3–4 October 2026. The event comprises eight distinct stages run across two days, combining trail running, sea kayaking, road cycling and mountain biking. Competitors may enter as solo athletes, as part of a team relay, or select individual stages.
Day 1 features stages 1 to 4 and Day 2 features stages 5 to 8. Distances for each stage are specified, with shorter options for junior competitors on several stages. Maps are provided for each stage. Athletes compete in age categories with separate male and female divisions; team categories include all male, all female and mixed teams.
The course details include stage types and distances, allowing participants to plan according to discipline and category.
