Freeport Flash 5K/10K : Run/Walk with a Virtual option
The Freeport Flash 5K/10K is an annual run and walk held at the Monroe Road trailhead of the Butler Freeport Rails to Trails in Sarver, PA. The event supports the Freeport Area High School Cross Country team and is in its 21st year.
Registration is based at Buffalo Nature Center, 154 Monroe Road, Sarver PA 16055. Race day registration is listed at $35. Limited parking is available at the nature center, and a shuttle service operates from Freeport Senior High School, 625 South Pike Road. Restroom facilities are available at the Buffalo Nature Center.
The course follows the trail as an out and back route. The organizer describes the course as flat and fast. The event typically attracts around 200 participants. Registrations placed before 2026-05-09 are noted to guarantee a limited edition race t-shirt.
