Memorial 5K and 1K at Edinburg Municipal Park
This community running event takes place on May 23, 2026, at Edinburg Municipal Park in Edinburg, Texas. It is held in memory of service members who made the ultimate sacrifice and is organized as a Memorial Day weekend tribute.

- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 1K kids run
Registration opens November 11, 2025. The 5K registration fee is $25 and includes a shirt, a finisher medal, and chip timing. The 1K kids run fee is $10 and includes a finisher medal only. Registration closes May 24, 2026 for the 5K and May 23, 2026 for the kids run. The shirt deadline is May 10, 2026.
Age group awards are given for male and female participants in these categories: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus.
Packet pick up is available Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday, May 22, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. One hundred percent of profits are awarded to high school scholarships. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
