Freddy Gonzalez Legacy Run 5K
The Freddy Gonzalez Legacy Run 5K is a community road running event held on May 23, 2026 at Edinburg Municipal Park in Edinburg, Texas. The event serves as a tribute to service members who made the ultimate sacrifice and is organized to support local students through scholarships.
Two distances are offered:
- 3.1 miles 5K Legacy Run
- 1K kids run
The 5K registration fee is $25 and includes a shirt, a finisher medal, and chip timing. The 1K kids run registration fee is $10 and includes a finisher medal. Age group awards are given for male and female finishers in the following categories: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus.
One hundred percent of event profits are awarded as high school scholarships. Packet pick up location, date, and time are to be announced.
