About the race
The Mainova Halbmarathon Frankfurt is a city half marathon organised by Spiridon Frankfurt e.V. The 24th edition took place on 22 March 2026 and included, for the first time within this event, the German Half Marathon Championship. The 2026 race set a new finisher record with 10,553 athletes reaching the finish. A new women's course record of 1:10:39 was recorded and the German championship was won in 1:03:26.
Because the national championship was part of the event, many strong times appeared in both the overall classification and the age group results; the first five places in the German championship nearly matched the first five in the overall standings, with one non championship participant finishing second overall. Registration for the 2025 race opened on 15 October 2025 and the field sold out within 12 hours; after that only participants registered for the German championship could still be entered. The organisers plan the 25th edition for Sunday 21 March 2027, with registration opening later in 2026. The race starts and finishes at Deutsche Bank Park and in 2027 will be a scoring race for the Rosbacher Main Lauf Cup.
Weather during the 2026 race warmed from cool shade at the stadium to pleasant sunshine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
