About the race
The Mainova Frankfurt Marathon takes place in Frankfurt and covers 42,195 m through the city. The organiser presents the course as fast, the atmosphere at the roadside as lively and the finish as impressive. The event day is listed as 25 October 2026.
The event week includes several competitions and supporting programme elements: the full marathon, a relay marathon, a mini-marathon, the Struwwelpeter run and the Brezellauf. Weekend programme items include a marathon mall, pasta party and route-side festivals. The organiser also offers results and livestream services and publishes a participant list.
The Brezellauf is held on the day before the marathon. It runs for about 5 km through the Europaviertel via Europa-Allee and Europagarten, starts and ends at the Messevorplatz/Maritim Hotel, and is recommended from age ten. The Brezellauf includes a pretzel, a Rosbacher drink and a pretzel medal while supplies last. Test-shoe demos by HOKA and a clothing drop-off at the start area are part of the programme.
