FoxTrail Race 5 - Foxlake
FoxTrail Race 5 is the final race of the series at Foxlake Adventures in Dunbar, East Lothian (EH42 1XF). The event offers two off road distances:
- 5 km
- 16 km
The 16 km route includes running on the sands of Belhaven Beach and the Bridge to nowhere and follows sections of the John Muir Way. It is described as a fairly flat course. The 5 km route travels through woodland paths, around nearby farmland and returns along sandy tracks of the John Muir Way.
Parts of the course cross private land and are not to be recced in advance. Full route information is published approximately two weeks before the event. The course will be fully waymarked and marshalled.
Entry fees include a professionally organised race, race medical first aid cover, chip timing, a well stocked feed station and prizes for first, second and third place male and female finishers. Series prizes are calculated from a competitor's best three placings; only entrants in the full series or the 5 km series are eligible for series prizes. Solo event entries are not eligible for series prizes.
On-site car parking is available and is allocated on a first come first served basis between the main car park and overflow car park. Dogs are not permitted. Trail shoes are advised and full hill kit is not required for these routes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
