Event overview
The Fox Island Sprint Triathlon #1 takes place on May 23, 2026 at Fox Island County Park, Bowman Lake (7324 Yohne Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46809). The event is organized by Ruble Triathlon and is limited to 500 total racers. Participants must be at least 13 years old by December 31, 2026. Race categories include individual sprint triathlon, sprint duathlon, sprint aquabike, and 2- and 3-person relay teams.

The swim is a lake swim in Bowman Lake with a planned beach start and marked turn buoys. The event uses chip timing with split times and transitions recorded. Transition is located near the main lot by Bowman Lake with bicycle racking (maximum eight bikes per rack) and an aid station nearby. The bike course is on open roads with police at the park exit and marked turns - riders are responsible for minor mechanicals and must follow USAT rules. Run courses use paved park trails and county roads with aid stations at multiple points.
Other event details include professional chip timing, USAT sanctioning, race t-shirts, finisher medals, on-site parking, porta-john facilities, and restrictions such as mandatory helmets and prohibition of personal audio devices.
