Foster the Future 5K
The Foster the Future 5K is an inaugural community running and walking event hosted on behalf of Geauga County Job and Family Services, a department of the Geauga County Board of Commissioners. The event takes place on May 30, 2026, at 14588 West Park Street, Burton, OH 44021.
The event aims to raise awareness about the need for foster parents and to support children in the county’s care. Geauga County Job and Family Services is seeking foster families for children of all ages, with the greatest need identified for teens and for sibling groups. All proceeds from the event support the care and well being of children in Geauga County custody.

- 1 Mile Walk
Registration opens March 3, 2026, and closes May 30, 2026. Registration fees listed for the events are $30.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the 1 Mile Walk. Participants who register by May 18, 2026, are guaranteed an Inaugural Foster the Future 5K race shirt.
