Fort Wayne Marathon & Half Marathon
The Fort Wayne Marathon and Half Marathon take place in Fort Wayne, Indiana with race operations centered at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum. The event offers two distances:
- Marathon 26.2 Miles
- Half Marathon 13.1 Miles
The marathon is Boston qualifier certified and the event is USATF sanctioned. Entry is limited to 2000 total racers. Eligibility begins at age 13 as of December 31, 2025. Packet pickup and registration are available the day before and on race day, with pre-registered bibs provided in race bags and day of entry receiving a bib upon registration.
The courses start at the Memorial Coliseum, proceed toward downtown on Parnell and St Joe Boulevard, cross Main Street, and continue on the River Greenway system through multiple parks. Courses are described as flat and fast and will be marked with signs and tape; volunteers and police will assist at crossings and intersections.
The race is chip timed with live results posted as participants finish. Aid stations are situated approximately every 1.5 miles and supply water, Gatorade, Coke, select gels, and select ice; about half the aid stations include porta-johns. Race packets include a participant t-shirt and all finishers receive a medal. Age group and overall awards are distributed on a grab and go basis once results are confirmed.
