Fort Wayne Marathon and Half Marathon
The event is held at Allen County Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It includes two distances:
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
The event is limited to 2000 total racers and is open to participants aged 13 and up. The marathon course is certified for Boston Marathon qualification and both courses are USATF sanctioned. Cutoff times are provided by the organizer: the marathon cutoff is 3pm and the half marathon cutoff is noon.
Timing is professional and chip based, with live results posted as runners finish. All participants receive a race t-shirt and all finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Age group and overall awards are distributed on a grab and go basis once placings are confirmed.
The courses are described as flat and fast, beginning near the Memorial Coliseum, running toward downtown on Parnell and St Joe Boulevard, crossing Main Street, and using the River Greenway system through multiple parks. Courses will be marked and staffed by volunteers, with police controlling intersections as needed.
Aid stations are positioned about every 1.5 miles offering water, Gatorade, Coke, select gels and ice, and porta-johns at select stations and the start. Packet pickup is available the day before at Fleet Feet North and on race day at the Memorial Coliseum. Parking is available at the Memorial Coliseum with a daily fee.
