Fort Wayne Hot Cider Hustle
Fort Wayne Hot Cider Hustle is an October running event held in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event offers multiple race distances on paved roads and paths and uses chip timing for individual results. Course features include sections along the River Greenway and a route that passes Johnny Appleseed's grave.
Race distances:
- 5K chip timed with a fun run option
- 10K chip timed
- Half marathon chip timed with pacers
Finish line provisions include hot apple cider, caramel apples, and event gear such as a finisher mug and finisher medals. A half marathon finisher medal is provided and 5K/10K medals are available as add-ons. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall and in each age group for the 5K, 10K and half marathon. Age groups begin at 10 and Under and continue in standard five year increments up to 70 plus.
Packet options include a pre-event in person pickup location at a local sporting goods store and a packet mailing option for a stated fee. Event parking is at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum with a parking fee for stadium lots. Water stations provide water and Gatorade for the half marathon course.
