About the race
The Forest Lawn Employee 5K Walk/Run is a community event for employees, family and friends held at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries in Glendale, California. The on-site location is the Forest Lawn Glendale Museum parking lot at the top of the hill.
The event includes a 3.1-mile (5K) walk/run. Registration is free; registration opens on August 7, 2026 and closes on September 25, 2026.
On the day there are registration and children's costume entries, a warm-up period, the 5K walk/run, and an awards ceremony. Awards are planned for the top three male and top three female runners, the top male and top female employee runners, and five children's best costumes.
Food and refreshments are provided. Entertainment listed for the event includes music, a petting zoo, a balloon artist, and a stilt walker. Additional activities include a children's costume contest, a department-only pumpkin contest, and a vendor booth with prizes.
